    Hi Tracey,

Thank you for your interest in ClueSearchPuzzles.com! We used to have instructions on the website, but somewhere in the evolution of the site over the years, they seem to have fallen off.

The general idea is to use the clues on the left to complete the list of terms that are included in the middle of the puzzle page. Then you can search for the terms in the letter field of the puzzle just like a normal word search puzzle. The terms can run forwards, backwards, up, down and diagonally; eight directions total.

Once all of the terms are found, use the remaining letters in the letter field and copy them sequentially from left to right starting in the upper left corner of the puzzle and enter them in the blanks and boxes directly below the puzzle. From there, just copy the boxed letters into the next line down and you’ll have your hidden message.

We hope you continue to enjoy ClueSearchPuzzles! If you need any other assistance, please feel to contact us again.

    Thanks
    Todd

Hi – I came searching for a fun earth day puzzel/trivia for a club that I am in; I found one, however, I am not sure what to do with it. It is the one where you have the sentance, fill in the blank, then there is a word search and leftover letters. are the letters leftover from the words not found in the word search? Thank you, love the multiple items in one puzzel, just have to figure it out!

    Hi Joe,

Thanks for your comments. Actually, we have created custom puzzles for high school teachers before. We have an Excel file that you can fill out with clues and terms and then we can make a puzzle out of your information. The puzzle creation process is still a manual one, so we don’t yet have a way to automatically create them online.

I have posted the Excel file here if you would like to take a look: http://www.cluesearchpuzzles.com/PuzzleTemplate.xls

    Thanks
    Todd

I am a teacher at a High School and I love your puzzles….but you should have a place on your site where you can create your own puzzles…by entering the clues and words for teachers and others to use……..

    thanks..

    Hi,

I would like to see what you mean. Could you provide an example? I assume you want to translate the clues, but the puzzle terms and hidden message would be in English? We’ve had that idea for a while but haven’t created any non-English puzzles yet. Please let me know what you’d like to try and maybe we can create official Russian puzzles that you could use. Then we could post them on our website and you could link to them and comment on them in your blog.

    Thanks
    Todd
